For 26 years the International Love Film Festival of Mons is about the promotion and enhancement of interculturality through the 7^th art.

Every year, FIFA offers you an opportunity to discover committed and challenging films. This 26^th edition will make no exception to the rule, having more than 80 features and 35 short films from all backgrounds. From Bulgaria to Burundi, from Slovakia to Quebec, the film selection will help you discover faraway lands, different cultures and life stories that, despite the distance, deal with LOVE as a universal value.

The posters, grouped under five models, were created by the image of the public but also of the professionals participating to FIFA: smaller, bigger, younger or older, men, women, from all cultural backgrounds. Those faces that look like you and like we together are those of our Festival that opens all borders. Its wealth is given by the multiculturalism of the films, but also of the public.  FIFA offers a varied program intended for everyone, educational sessions for children, afternoons dedicated to seniors, retrospectives, meetings with film directors and actors. It is obvious then this desire of diversity, encounter and exchange that has to represent our Festival.

The selected films having Love as a common theme address it sometimes lightly, sometimes dramatically, sometimes comically. Like those five faces, the International Love Film Festival of Mons makes its public live a range of feelings: joy, distress, surprise, sadness, astonishment, anger, fear, passion. The projections cannot leave anyone indifferent.

The Festival is set from February 19 to 26, 2010. You can attend the Festival’s screenings at Cinéma Imagix Mons and at Plaza-Art. As for the Evening Galas, they will be held at the Royal Theatre of Mons. Lotto Mons Expo will host the Cinema-Village with its many animations, conferences and thematic evenings.
