To conclude in style this week dedicated to the 7^th Art, the International Love Film Festival of Mons presents in the Closure Gala Rob Marshall ’s film Nine, which will be screened at the Royal Theatre of Mons.

In this musical, the director Guido Contini is in full midlife crisis. Since his last film the inspiration seems to have left him. To make the situation worse, Guido is haunted by the women of his life among which his wife, his mistress, his muse, his costume designer, a fashion journalist, a prostitute from his childhood and his mother.

Rob Marshal assembled a cast of prestige. In fact, topping the bill are Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Pénélope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren.

This film, which will be released the next March 3, was nominated for the Golden Globes 2010 in many categories including Best Film. Marion Cotillard was again nominated for the Best Actress, while Daniel Day-Lewis was on the list for the Best Actor and Pénélope Cruz was nominated Best Actress in a supporting role. The song of the movie Cinema Italiano was also on run.
